INITIAL ASSESSMENT

I offer a free twenty minute phone consultation where we discuss what you're going through and assess if my style of care is the appropriate fit. During the following sessions I will spend time gathering information, building a deeper understanding of you and forming a clear treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.

LENGTH AND FREQUENCY OF SESSIONS

The initial assessment appointment will be 60 minutes. All sessions following are 50 minutes. However, a longer session may be scheduled if needed. When this occurs, sessions are prorated accordingly. Typically, sessions take place once per week, but this can vary based on what is most appropriate for the client.

INSURANCE

I am currently in network with most United Healthcare (Optum) plans. I strongly recommend checking with your individual plan to inquire about therapy benefits. You may be responsible for copayment or other costs.

If I am out of network with your provider and you would like to submit through your insurance, I am able to provide you with a receipt, also known as a 'superbill'. You are then able to submit this to your provider for reimbursement if your plan provides this type of coverage.

You are responsible for knowing the terms of your policy and for keeping track of the extent of your coverage. To check your benefits, I recommend that you call your insurance company. Some helpful questions can include:

  • What are my mental health or behavioral health benefits?

  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

MEANS OF PAYMENT

Cash, check, or credit card are accepted. A credit card is required to be kept on file for billing purposes.

CANCELLATION / NO-SHOW

I require session cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance. If less than 24-hours notice is given and because the appointment time is reserved for you, it is necessary to charge unless we agree that an emergency has occurred.
